I just bought a copy of the book. I hope it will give me further details on my Great Grandfather -x2, Jabez Newton Conerly, AKA Jabe Conerly. I have the information on his murder in 1898 but am looking for more ie; where he was buried. I believe he waas Luke Conerly's cousin.

Luke Ward Conerly was my grandfathers, great, great grandfather. It's been really wonderful for me to learn more about where I come from. I'm so happy this book was written and is still being read and relied on.

My mother had a copy of the original book and I am so pleased to have received the reprinted copy today in the mail. My great, great grandfather was John Applewhite and my ggg grandfather is Judge Lemuel Lewis, both are mentioned in the book as well as other relatives. Both of my parents were from Columbia, MS. I am kin to Price, Rawls, Applewhite, Fortenberry, Faulk, Lee, Yarborough and other families. Lee, I really appreciate the added information on the author, the more complete index and the names of the Confederate soldiers! Thank you especially for the reprint of this wonderful informative book!
