Hello I am seeking more information on my grandfather, Albert Brumfield of Wathall County, Mississippi. My mother is the last Brumfield child of Albert & Melissa Lundy Brumfield. My mother is named Lucille. She married Gennie Jones whose his mothers maiden name was Bacot. My mother will be 90 years old in Jan 2014 and I want to find out more about her father. Albert Brumfield family is listed in the 1930 census.

I was looking for clues regarding my slave ancestors and your grandfather's book was very helpful. I recognized many names and noted one family in particular. This family is probably part of my ancestors based on census records, oral family history and DNA tests. Not trying to offend anyone here just trying to find all my people being a multi-cultural person. My mother started the journey to find the 1st male slave on her father's side and she passed away. I am trying to pick up where she left off. For privacy purposes if anyone is interested in collaborating further please e-mail me.
